Sustainable Candles?

In this economy?!

Our kraft bags for local delivery, Kraft tags to mark orders, kraft tape to secure boxes for shipping, and a reused glass container, next to some fresh lavender herb.

Yes and Yes!

Our kraft labels are unbleached, reducing the number of harmful chemicals that end up in the environment during the paper bleaching process. One specific chemical to note in this process is chlorine, whose chemical derivitives can be particularly harmful to aquatic life.

Our glassware is reclaimed, cleaned, sanitized, and reused for soy wax candles. By making the decision not to purchase glass vessels, we choose to reduce our carbon emissions via shipping and additionally, run the risk of glassware breaking in transit.

Our wax comes from soybeans grown in Illinois. Soy wax vs. parrafin wax vs. beeswax vs. coconut wax (and beyond) is a topic of hot debate, but we prefer soy wax for its impact on our local economy and natural attributes.

Our packaging includes biodegradable packing peanuts, reused bubble wrap, and kraft tape, where applicable. We prefer to deliver and pickup locally to further reduce our Carbon emissions accrued during the shipping process, but we can ship to anywhere in the United States.

Everyting printed from Forgotten Glass Candle Company uses an Epson EcoTank Printer. We prefer this style of printer for its recyclable ink canisters.
